These are the terms for using aerology.ai and app.aerology.ai during the beta. Using either site means you accept them; if you do not, please do not use the sites. “We” is Aerology Inc. The page is short on purpose, and the second section is the one that matters.

what this is

A beta. The app produces probabilistic estimates of trip disruption: how likely it is that a cancellation, a missed connection or a late arrival disrupts your trip. It may change, break or go away, without notice.

Today it is free and there is no account. That describes the beta as it stands and is not a promise about what follows: if either changes, this page says so first.

no reliance

The probabilities shown on these sites are estimates from a machine learning model. A forecast, not a recommendation: it tells you the chances, not what to do. None of them is a guarantee about your flight. Trips with low disruption probabilities will occasionally be disrupted — likewise, trips with high disruption probabilities will occasionally complete unremarkably. And the probabilities themselves are estimates: they can be too high or too low.

Whether to rebook, to skip a connection or to keep one is your decision, and you make it at your own risk. We know which flights you asked about. We do not know your booking, your ticket or your fare.

We are not affiliated with any airline, airport or booking service. We do not book travel, and nothing here changes what an airline owes you.

The limits we know of, so you can weigh the numbers:

The app covers trips of up to three flights, each scheduled to depart in the next 24 hours, to or from US airports.
The cost in time and in dollars assumes the airline rebooks you after a missed connection. On separate tickets it does not, and the app cannot tell which you hold. The delays that figure uses for a missed connection and a cancellation are national averages, not predictions about your trip.
A trip already underway is still an estimate until its arrival is reported.
The trend chart shows how today’s model would have read your trip earlier. It is not a track record.
Where the app says how odds like these have played out, it describes predictions we would have made for past trips like yours. It settles nothing about yours.

no warranty, limited liability

The sites are provided as they are. As far as the law allows, we give no warranty about them: not that a forecast is right, not that the service is up, not that it suits your purpose. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for loss that follows from using the sites or from acting on a forecast, including a missed flight, a rebooking cost or a trip not taken.

acceptable use

Use the app through its pages, at a person’s pace, for ordinary personal use. What we ask you not to do is extract from it: no scraping, no querying in bulk, and no building on the app, or on the board on aerology.ai, as a data feed. The board is a selection of flights, shown as their forecasts stand. We count requests, and we may slow or block use that looks automated.

Ordinary personal use includes an assistant or agent of yours looking up your own trip, through the pages and at a person’s pace.

Automated callers have their own door, and it is not open yet. Programmatic access is planned, on its own hostname, and when it opens it will be the better way for an assistant too. To register interest, write to agents@aerology.ai.

ownership

The sites, the forecasts and the aerology name and logo are ours. What belongs to others stays theirs: the typefaces, and the names of airlines and airports, which appear here only to identify flights.

You may share a link to a trip. A link carries the trip, not the forecast you saw: by the time it is opened, the probabilities may have changed.

If these terms change, this page changes first, and the date at the top says when. What the sites log is on the privacy page. Questions go to terms@aerology.ai.

governing law

Aerology Inc. is a Delaware corporation. Delaware law governs these terms, and any dispute about them is heard in the state or federal courts in Massachusetts.
